Can You Become Fashionable By Only Watching “The Devil Wears Prada”?

Jealousy is the thief of joy, but it’s also the motivator of the cool. And I am so so so so so so desperate to be cool.

Coming into AFTRS each day and seeing all the stylish, beautiful people here in their perfectly coordinated outfits and their subtly applied accessories, I can’t help but think “God I want to be them so badly”. But how do you learn to become fashionable when the internet is full of contradictions and an expert is way too expensive? You turn to the first (and only) piece of fashion media you’ve ever come across: The Devil Wears Prada.

Over the last week I have attempted to become as fashionable as I possibly can be by only watching The Devil Wears Prada. I’ve studied the film and the lessons it has to teach me about looking good (and feeling good!) all under the guidance of my own fashion guru, Damien Woolnough from the Sydney Morning Herald.

But is it doable? Have I managed to transform my look enough that Meryl Streep might actually take a chance and cast me in the sequel that’s set to be released next year? Tune in to AFTRS FM to find out…
