Finding compelling topics that resonate with AFTRS students can be challenging, I’m sure we would all agree. Our students are diverse and so selecting stories that would keep them engaged and interested is key. What do AFTRS students care about today? What are they curious about? What matters to them? We decided on these topics for this second week that we felt all students would respond to:

It has certainly been a profound experience for those of us who participated in the show, from learning to work in teams to growing our knowledge in new applications and fine tuning our sense of good storytelling along with new editing skills, we have certainly grown our new understanding of radio exponentially.
Radio is a great medium to influence the imagination of audiences and relate to their interests and concerns. From talking about how social media can affect students to everyday student life, these themes gave us an opportunity to connect with students and create intriguing content.
AFTRS FM has entertained, educated and fascinated our students both on campus and off campus this final week. Perhaps we all walk away with a new sense of self and the world around us.
