Gen Z Listening to Classical Music?

2MBS Fine Music Sydney host Simon Moore believes that more young people are listening to classical music.  

Simon confirms the findings of a paper published by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra that found that listeners under 35 and Gen Zs outpace their over 55 counterparts.   

But how are they listening to it? 

“It doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s been written 200 plus years ago. And music that’s in the classical style permeates our life in so many ways. Film scores, many, many film scores are written in the classical style,” Moore says.
