Stinkwater Film Festival is a local film challenge that will occur over this weekend in Randwick. The film challenge first started as part of the Coogee Arts Festival, but this is the first year it has been developed into an independent film festival.

This film challenge has a very strong focus on locality and community. It is also open to anyone in the Randwick Council area, from beginners to experts.

“This is a community project, this is a creative community event and we’re basically just want people to make stuff” said founder PJ Collins.

“I don’t have many creative bones in my body, but what I love about Stinkwater is it is actually all about the community” said committee member Fiona Olser.

There will be a briefing on the Friday night, Saturday is then the day of filming, and Sunday there will be a viewing of the films made at the Ritz Cinema in Randwick. For more information https://stinkwater.com.au/
