Russell Crowe’s new film ‘immediately paused’ after Covid outbreak on set

Russell Crowe has revealed there’s been an outbreak of Covid on the Sydney set of his new film, Poker Face. He stars alongside stars, Liam Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky.

He announced the news on his Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon, explaining that production had been ‘immediately paused’ after a crew member tested positive for the virus.

Russell explained that the cast and crew have ‘followed strict protocols’ which involved thrice-weekly Covid tests for the past 11 weeks.

The film was being shot at Fox Studios in Moore Park after filming stints in the Kiama and Berry region of NSW earlier this month. A week was spent shooting at Crown Towers in Sydney too.

Russell was reportedly last seen on set at Fox Studios last Friday and appears to have been isolating in his Wooloomooloo apartment since then.
