Queensland Remain Hesitant on 70% Vaccination Rate!

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says she has requested more research on how opening up the state would impact young children as her government remains cautious to commit to a plan as COVID-19 vaccination rates continue to increase.

In Parliament, the state opposition asked the government to lay out its plan for the path out of lockdown and restrictions once double vaccination rates reached 70 per cent.

Ms Palaszczuk said she wanted more research from the Doherty Institute, who are the responsible for the opening modeling, on how opening up Queensland would impact young children.

Ms Palaszczuk said she wanted to see more medical advice and a plan for “every single Queenslander”.
