Throughout the week, Lachie is chatting with AFTRS alumni about what happens after graduation.
He kicked off with Wave FM’s Grant Maling who graduated just 3 years ago in 2018 and already has quite the resume. Grant began his radio career at Koori Radio in Redfern, NSW.
After receiving a fellowship as a “consolation” prize, he spent 6 weeks in Shepparton, VIC. He then moved back to Sydney and in June of 2019, he landed his first job in Port Augusta, SA.
After three months in the position, a job popped up in Muswellbrook, NSW. There, Grant became the go-to person for a new play-out system for people across nation.
