After a 30 year career as a senior journalist – Philippa McDonald joins us on AFTRS FM

Philippa has brought you news from across the country. She has interviewed British actress and humanitarian Audrey Hepburn, she has traveled to the outback pub The Carinda Hotel to pay tribute to David Bowie where he filmed the music video for “Let’s Dance”, Philippa has lead an amazing career.

She has been there when the Royal family visited Australia, reporting on their time spent here.

Philippa has reported on major stories such as The Backpacker Murders, the Royal Commission into black deaths in custody, and the Bowravill murders. Philippa has also traveled to bushfire-affected towns interviewing victims who have lost their houses, precious belongings, bringing you their stories as a bushfire recovery reporter.

She covered the Bali bombings, the Mabo High Court decision, and The Royal Commission into Child Sexual abuse in the nation’s institutions.

With her kindness and talent and dedication, Philippa joined Camille and me to talk about her wonderful career on AFTRS FM.
